Two years ago, I lost both my parents to liver cancer, a mere six weeks apart from each other. Understandably, it was an awful experience, but it was even more than that. It became a reminder to me of how many people living among us don’t realize how limited our time is with our loved ones.

I realized that if I had been better prepared for their deaths, I might have spent more time writing down their stories and the things they wanted people to remember most about them. But, at the end of it all, the only things I had were old bills, photographs scattered in boxes, check registers, and scribbles in notebooks to piece together their legacies.

At the time, I was working as a full-time freelance book editor, but their deaths shifted my goals. Though I loved what I did, losing them made me want to do something more inspired. That was when I decided to shift my focus to helping people create their legacies and organize their life details for the family members they might leave behind one day.

Hi, my name is Tina Morlock. I am a mother of two, an avid thriller reader, a poet, an animal lover, and a freelance writer/editor. I live in Oklahoma City with my youngest son, two rescue cats, and a Great Dane named Charlie.

In my spare time, I do a lot of cleaning—I MEAN, a lot! (Adulting isn’t always fun!) I also love to read, spend time with my family, and work on writing my own thrillers. My current obsession right now is reading Freida McFadden’s entire library of thrillers, but if you’re a fan of hers, you know that’s incredibly challenging, since she always seems to be publishing a new book.

I’ll be sharing tons of stories about my family in my blog, so if you’d love to get to know me more before we work together, I’d love it if you’d take a look around and dive into the people who made me the woman I am today.

And when you’re ready to collaborate with a creative writer and editor who would absolutely love to help you with you legacy, shoot me an email at tinamorlock@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!
